The Story : There's a sudden emergence of a dangerous new lifeform aboard the USS Voyager - a Superborg - after The Doctor's 29th century mobile emitter technology mysteriously fuses with Seven of Nine's Borg nanoprobes. Seven has to take a mentor role in making sure that this drone's allegiances are to the crew. The 24th century Borg Collective become aware of the existence of the futuristic drone and come looking for it, leaving it up to Janeway to protect Seven and the Doctor's "child" from the Collective.

The Story : Stardate 52143.6 - Fifteen years after the Starship U.S.S. Voyager's frozen hull. The Story : The U.S.S. Voyager rescues two crewmen from an abandoned, out of control Malon freighter that's about to unleash a theta radiation blast into the sector. When the warp engines fail to work in the middle of the theta radiation, an away team consisting of Neelix, Chakotay and Torres boards the freighter to try to contain the poison. Their mission is complicated by a mythical Malon monster living in the storage tanks, which turns out to be a core laborer that has become resistant to the Theta radiation. After Torres is able to subdue the creature, she diverts the Malon freighter in the corona of an O-class star, which absorbs the theta radiation as the vessel explodes.

Voyager's advanced technology - and The Doctor and Seven of Nine as hostages aboard their ship.
