Moon Zero Two

(Moon Zero Two)

August 17, 2002

This film is remarkable. At times it looks like a cheap and nasty piece of throwaway cinema, then the viewer is gifted with an exquisite piece of costume or set design. The SFX are variable ranging from wobbly SPACE PATROL type imagery to 2001 or SPACE:1999 calibre work. (Largely due to the influence of Nick Allder and Brian Johnson).

The film is never really sure where it is going particularly after the off-putting animated opening title sequence which is reminiscent of a late 1960s public information film.

Overall this movie is entertaining and crying out for a DVD release.

Check this movie out. Gerry Anderson fans in particular will be thrilled to have discovered it.
