Resistance

(Resistance)

Synopsis

It could be the near future or even today. The cities have collapsed, driving the poor and desperate into the countryside where they eke out a meager living as farm hands for a huge corporation. Now, trouble is brewing in a remote shanty town and anti-terrorist squads are sent in to restore order among the rowdy workers and to get the crops harvested before food shortages panic the cities. When an itinerant farmhand is killed by a trigger happy soldier the repressed frustration and anger of the community explodes to the surface. Two women, a runaway tribal girl and a truckstop waitress, forge a common bond in the tragedy they suffer and lead a bloody rebellion against the occupying forces...
