Synopsis

A bottle of champagne fleets in space, directing slowly towards its target, the new Enterprise, NCC-1701-B. We are at the end of 23rd century, and the inauguration of the vessel is followed by the crew of the ancient ship of the same name, James Kirk, Montgomery Scott and Pavel Chekov. The reporters and the curious clame an interview of Kirk and the Captain of the new U.S.S. Enterprise, while the crew begins to embark for a routine trip.

After little time in flight, the spaceship receives a call of distress and change its route to come in assistance to two El-Aurien transportation vessels that are taken in a strange and mysterious ribbon of energy. Kirk, finding back his instincts, notices that not only the new Captain lacks experience, but that the armament and vital functions of the vessel have not still been installed...
