Francisco is a Newcomer, a race of alien slave ship survivors who made earth their home after fleeing their captors. When a giant and a child escape from a secret lab, killing security guards along the way, the world learns of famed Newcomer Dr. Tivoli’s secret experiments in which it appears that alien Newcomer DNA and human DNA were combined. Matt and George, to their dismay, are assigned the case and must face the hostile press as well as prejudiced protesters.
