Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man

(Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man)

Synopsis

Bud and Lou are recent graduates from a private detective school who join an agency. Their first client is Tommy Nelson, a middleweight fighter, accused of killing his manager.  Nelson escaped from jail and wants Bud & Lou to help him prove his innocence.  He also needs them to escort him to the residence of his gal pal Helen Gray. Her uncle has the formula for Jack Griffin’s invisibility serum. Helen’s uncle refuses to give it to Tommy fearing the side effect of insanity but, when the cops arrive in force, Tommy injects himself with the serum.  Afterwards, Tommy has Lou pose as a boxer and Bud as his manager, in order to set up the same circumstances that led to Tommy’s manager being bumped off and Tommy framed for the killing.  Only this time, an invisible man will be on hand to prevent a reoccurrence of the crime. This film has plenty of laughs, good special effects, and a fine supporting cast. (Anonymous)
