Synopsis

Sam Lowry is a little official of the ministry of information (MOI: Ministry Of Information). He undergoes with resignation, constraint of his worried life. His work is not interresting and he undertakes it in lamentable conditions. His universe is small and déprimant... To support, Sam dreams, enormously, of love and liberty.

An insect, by falling in his printer, is going to generate a typo on a form and to produce a judicial error. Thus the police is going to stop Mr. Buttle, an innocent fellow citizen instead of Archi Tuttle, an outlaw technician. Sam is loaded by MOI to rule this affair, and he is entailed in multiple adventures, in the course of which, by clumsiness first, then by choice, he attracts many problems, and the disgrace of the MOI...
