Classic 70s movie with a moral. One of the original tree huggers movies. Excellent special effects for the time. The one that put Bruce Dern on the map. One of my favorites and a must see for any Sci Fi buff.

How often do you cry in a sci-fi movie? Silent Running is a tear jerker if there could be one. I cried at the end and am not ashamed to say so (and I'm a guy). If you liked Soylent Green or Logan's Run you should like this as well. A classic sci-fi movie with just the right amount of effects and a great story. When it's all over, go hug your dog/cat.
