How often do you cry in a sci-fi movie? Silent Running is a tear jerker if there could be one. I cried at the end and am not ashamed to say so (and I'm a guy). If you liked Soylent Green or Logan's Run you should like this as well. A classic sci-fi movie with just the right amount of effects and a great story. When it's all over, go hug your dog/cat.
