In the low quarters of New York, residents of the 817 on 8th Street are on the point to lose all their goods. Armed of their only will, they try to prevent the destruction of the small building that Lacey, a scrupulous entrepreneur, has decided to wipe out to construct a gigantic building complex : « Lacey Plaza ».
