The Story : A British agent is sent to investigate a suspicious monastery on a remote Scottish island, but he is killed by the local fishermen. Then Steed, Gambit, and Purdey are sent to look into their fellow agent's death and to continue his investigation. It seems that at the end of the second world war an aeroplane carrying Germany's Greatest Treasure (whatever that may be) ended up there - and the monks turn out to be not particularly religious.

The Story : A crowd of screaming teenagers rescues a man Steed has hunted down, but then the Soviet spymaster Perov appears to kill himself. Just days later, a network of sleeper agents set up by Perov, called the House of Cards, is activated: people believed to be on Steed's side suddenly turn into assassins, killing British intelligence personnel. The attacks are set off by an embedded hynotic order which is triggered by half of a playing card. Steed, Purdey and Gambit find themselves fighting people they thought were their friends.

The Story : Some years ago, a double agent called Felix Kane was ambushed by Steed and was crippled and horribly disfigured when a fuel tanker exploded. Kane vowed he would have his revenge, and since then he has re-activated a force Steed has tangled with twice before - the Cybernauts. Originally created by Armstrong, a crazy scientist, these metallic menaces have twice in the past been foiled by Steed and his former side-kick, Emma Peel. But with Kane directing them, Steed and his team have to risk their lives to stop the Cybernauts for a third time.

The Story : Steed, Purdey, and Gambit get a strange message, which alerts them to danger. Steed has research to do on some old files, while Purdey and Gambit go out to investigate. A legendary agent has resurfaced, seventeen years after he vanished. Then, he was working in Germany as a circus acrobat, and he discovered the identity of a double agent known as White Rat, set a trap for hiim, and shot him in the leg. The acrobat then had a nasty accident and lost his memory. But now he has remembered who he is, and he is trying to contact his spy masters. They get the radio transmissions from him but can't decipher them, and the race is on to find him before White Rat does. Meanwhile, Purdey has a new boyfriend and is in danger.

The Story : Burt Brandon gets out of jail after serving nine years - and he is followed, as the top secret information he stole was never found. But it is not only Steed's team who are on his trail. Brandon heads for a remote well where he expects to find his cache. When his enemies catch up with him, they kill him, and the Avengers find Brandon's body and the remains of his car, which has been completely dismantled. Brandon had mailed a package to his daughter, but when Steed gets hold of it, what he finds in it is a paperback book - a western called The Tale of the Big Why. So what is going on?

When one of them dies from an illness he didn't have, the clues lead Purdey and Gambit to an establishment in the East end of London run by a cosmetic surgeon. They infiltrate the place, and Steed's friends find they are being trained to impersonate and kill the 'real' Purdey and Gambit.

There seems to be nothing very special about the film, but it must have been important.Then a general disappears, and a wounded soldier is kidnapped from a country hospital. Suspicion falls on the Commandos at a nearby army base, and Steed, Purdey and Gambit have to find out what is going on.

The Story : Some Allied defence plans have to be got from London to the U.S., and for security purposes Steed comes up with the idea of using three men with photographic memories who will each memorise a third of the detailed plans. The plan works well - but then one by one the three memory couriers are found in a coma, and it looks as if someone is trying to reconstruct the secret plans. In fact, the enemy agent Juvenator has got hold of a new device which can drain information from the human mind. Can Steed, Purdey and Gambit stop Juvenator from getting the final piece of the puzzle?
