Note : This episode featured three generations of Bridges - Lloyd, son Beau, and grandson Dylan who made his professional acting debut. One scene in the episode had over 200 live scorpions. This was the fourth episode filmed. This episode has been released on video in the U.S.

Note : This episode was the first one adapted from the original series. It was directed by Leonard Nimoy's son Adam who has previously directed two "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episodes.
