Hello. first of all thank you for your visit. So here is a new sci-fi movies site ! You're right. In fact scifi-movies exists since February 1999, but untill now pages were only in french. This site changed its name from "Forbidden Planet" to "DoctorSF Movie Web" and to finish with "scifi-movies.com" where it opens for english language...

scifi-movies will give you access to many sci-files and to a sci-fi movie poster gallery, alphabetical, decade, chronological and thematical access to the movie and serie files. And do you know how much files you'll get ? i'm planning for about 1500 files from 1899 to nowadays. I hope you'll use the "Fan's Review" rubric to give your own opinions on a movie or a serie. These will be published on the site.

As it is not my native language, i hope you'll be generous with me. In fact, maybe i'm waiting for a bit more. I explain. While you'll read the sci-fi files, may be you'll read bad English (i hope you won't read too much of it). Please use the forms in the bottom of the different files to correct the text. Thanks to you i'll be able to produce a higher quality site for the whole sci-fi fans community. As the forms don't send me your email adress, i won't be able to personnaly thank you, i apologize.

How to become a sci-fi lover ?

To do so, you must start very early. I coudn't noticed it but when i was a young boy, the movies i could see on french TV (quiet a few indeed) stayed deep in my mind. For some of them, i suceeded in finding out a trace, and for others, my mind remains impregnated with wonderful images and these movies are still a mystery for me (but perhaps is it better like this !). The real trigger was... STAR WARS*...

I wrote a Star Wars book called "Il était une fois LA GUERRE DES ETOILES, la galaxie George Lucas". This is a french written book. The first one in the world gathering informations on the sixth chapters of George Lucas's Saga

Then came Internet...

Indeed since the advent of the Internet, we can find plenty of things on my passion, but in bulk and not always very accurate. This site has the goal to gather the totality of what has been realized on the great screen and on tv screen. Because of the high quantity of works, it is of course impossible to write miles long about each movie (others make it individually. Go and visit them thanks to my links), first of all because of the lack of room. Then because, in the opposite case, this site would have never been published, because probably never ended. So, Scifi-Movies is a neverended story. So you'll find quiet accurate files on each movie. First of all, a light file, with just the summary, the cast and the poster. If you want to know more (even the end of the story), you'll be able to access to a complete file with technical crew, whole summary, photos.

Fan's Review

Review the movies, add comments or personal reflections on the film or the series of your choice. Theses will be published and accessible by the link "Fan's Review" down of the file concerned. To access to the review form, click here.

A few words about what i'm expecting to read from you. First of all, have in mind that this is not a newsgroup, but a specialized sci-fi lovers review rubric. The goal is therefore to give your appreciation on a movie or a series and not on the review of the neighbor. More, and up till now that was correct, you must stay diplomats, as the french proverb says "des goûts et des couleurs on ne discute point" (approximatively tranlated by "tastes and colors, we musn't discuss"). Do not hesitate to argue your critics, it is much better for your readers... That these some rule stated in the flight doesn't stop you to exert your literary talents (even if it is not really necessary to have some to say what you think about a movie) !

BE CAREFULL

All along your ballad, you are going to meet this small logo on files. It is supposed to signal you that the story that follows is told in its totality and that the abeyance is unveiled, that is most of the time the case, into complete files (except light files). Therefore if you still have not seen the movie, do not read the part on orange color text that contains the end. This manner, if you do not want to know the end, just read the written text in white !

 
For the same reasons, this logo is signaled in front of each review that could unveil the end of a story...
